...a web hosting provider created by 3 guys that were fed up with the so called cheap Internet hosting
companies to the point where starting our service seemed to be absolutely necessary.
...fast. More than anything we stress performance more than total space or bandwidth claims.
Here is a simple analogy : Would you prefer to drive a Ford Escort towing an 18 wheeler or a
Porsche 911 on the Autobahn?
...month to month. We do not force you into a one or multi year contract. We feel the bottom
line is customers want their website to work and work quickly. If they are satisfied why would
they move? If you feel like the server isn't performing to your expectations – leave. Plain
and simple. We are not out to hassle anyone or scam anyone. Try out our cheap plan first if
you want. If you don't want to stay tell us. There is nothing worse than trying to cancel with
a horrible provider who you may have registered your domain name through and now they won't
let you cancel because 7 days has passed – didn't you read the fine print!? Have fun paying
for a transfer fee and spending hours on hold with their "Wonderful Support Department"
...database friendly. We do not implement any maximum connections per user or anything like that on our
DB server largely because it is stored locally on the machine that the site itself will be running on.
Many hosts keep these servers on a separate part of their network because they claim it would be too
strenuous on a machine to manage MySQL as well as Apache with PHP. This is partially accurate : It would be
too strenuous on their machines because they are generally already overloaded with too many clients on
the same machine. So instead they pick out a few machines to be "Database Server" and then cram them to the
limit with databases. Go download a copy of WAMP (Windows based Apache MySQL PHP) and install it on an
old clunker lying around your home or office. We assure you it's not that hard on resources and it is the
same software we run here except we are Linux based which also consumes less resources than a traditional
Windows based machine. We used to have a web development and testing machine that ran on WAMP on a 433MHz
junker no problem. Clearly we are not going to openly invite abuse onto our network but given you are
staying within your resource limits there is no reason why we need to shut down your site because – "They had 10
db connections at the same time!" That is not something you will find us saying – though we have been told that by some
"reputable" hosting companies.
